This course evaluates web design tools, discusses technology standards and programming, and explores incompatibility issues surrounding current browsers, design software, and programming. It teaches the competencies necessary for designing, developing, publishing, and hosting multimedia web sites. This course explores the principles and processes of effective writing with particular emphasis on the structure and form of persuasive writing. It shows how to use copywriting and design techniques in various forms in advertising, and how to recognize good and bad designs. It shows the difference between trendy, sophisticated, youthful, classic, aggressive, contemporary, and attractive designs.

This course reviews the history of graphic design and its evolution into the new media age. It shows how to create clear, intelligent, and powerful graphic designs for any graphic media. This course studies how to design logos as well as corporate identities, presentations, and/or packaging to be distinguished and identified in the market. This course reviews online business and economy environment and strategies. It provides solutions for the online purchasing and selling of different products and services. This course provides an appreciation for using the Web and other multimedia for effective communication. This course explores the role of art directors in managing the efforts of graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and producers. This course examines the use of multimedia material (audio, MIDI, graphics, and video) from a production point of view. It explains how to undertake a digital multimedia production and the manipulation tasks to create or modify a multimedia project.

This distance learning education program is completed by a traditional correspondence instruction method. Once you sign up for the course, Bircham International University will send you (to your mailing address) the suggested textbooks. After reading the book, you will be asked to write a 20 to 35 pages report that reflect your understanding of the book. This report is equivalent to the exam and can be submitted by email or mail. Bircham International University will evaluate your written work. If passed, BIU will issue the corresponding diploma.
